December 20, 1972 Wed.
Dear Flowers:
I slept till 9:30. Listen to the radio. At 1:00 I went to school for Drama: The Radio Show.
Well while we were waiting for Mr. Lucas we sat around Fresco Stand (me, Doris, Jenni, & John & then came Lucient, his brother & Phil Cordoba. Its the 1st time I had ever spoken to Duffields’ kid. Steve came over & the Lisa. Mom went to a tea with Mrs. Seehafeir. Watched T.V.
BYE!!
Note: Lucient Duffield's Mom was a good friend of my mother’s. She gave my mom a beautiful chalk drawing. I’d love to get it back to him, unfortunately, while researching him, I found he died several years ago. I would love to gift it to his family.

December 21, 1972 Thurs.
Dear Flowers:
Went to school at 7:00. We practised for Drama & then we gave the play “Santa Jet its” & Radio with Glee Cllub to little kids. I went over to Simones. She’s leaving tomorrow to Barranquilla. I took her her gift for Xmas. We did the both things for grownups, Radio mas o menos & other Super. I was a robot. Dave was Santa & really good! Watched T.V. Tomorrow I get my hair cut.
BYE!!!

The Radio Show and The Santa Jett’s were a success! David was an awesome Santa and it was a relief to have it done!

Dear Flowers:
Mom is mad at Dad. I sure hope they don’t get divorced. Please don’t let anything drastic happen. I got my hair cut in a shag. I really like it so far at 1st no. Beckys came out so good! We dropped off presents. Talked to Pat. Simmon too (she didn't leave & won’t leave till in about 4 days). Watched T.V. Just can’t get into the Xmas spirit. I sure hope I can. Well I’m going to read on my book.
BYE!!!
Note: Every time my parents argued, I was afraid they would get divorced.
Michelle Burgess’s mom was a fabulous beautician who cut our hair. It was hard to get used to, but I liked it. Interesting coincidence, every time I get my hair cut short, something bad
seems to happen. This was the first…

Hope all had a FelÍz Día de Gracias!
Susie I need help here, I am sure I am reading too much or too little into this comment of yours "I went over to Simones. She’s leaving tomorrow to Barranquilla. I took her her gift for Xmas. We did the both things for grownups, Radio mas o menos & other Super."
What two things did you and Simone do for the grownups?
I had forgotten all about the shag hair cut - with my straight hair don't think it was possible...yours looked great! Tootsie
Susan, I am so proud of you for walking in the Turkey trot. You are always number one to me!
I loved your shag!!!
Thanksgiving has been busy. I have had family in different shifts!
Happy Holidays!
Love
MJ
Wow, in a few days time, I bet your folks completely forgot what the argument was about. For those of us "in the know" we live week to week, vicariously thru your blog, with basic knowledge of what's to come, but anticipating the details. Did your friend Simmon "get out of Dodge" in time? Guess we'll find out. We always had our "minor movements" in San José during that era, but nothing compared to yours. Yours took First Place.
I too, like the shorter hair...'course that's how you looked when I met you!🙂
The shag really suits you in that picture; unusually, I think, it’s one where you very much resemble Becky.
I understand . Worry on things as teens.
Cute hair cut. Mg
