Dear Flowers:
Normal day of school. I had P.E. last day of Volley ball!!! I stayed after for Lab. She let us out early so I played some volley ball. Fun! Bill Flores, Paul F., Steve S. 2 Teresiano girls. Read papers; finally caught up. Talked to Pat. Worked on Outlines. History Test cancelled to Wed YEAH. Watched T.V. Got a cold but of the chest.

Note: Played volleyball with Bill Flores whose Mom was our art teacher, Paul Fliegel one of my brother’s best friends, and Steve Seehafer. Not sure who the Teresiano girls were but they were from the Colegio Teresiano, a Catholic School.
To this day, if I am not careful my colds turn into bronchitis.

Dear Flowers:
Quess who I think I have a crush on now! Bill Flores. Worked in little library. Locked my books in Little Library but got them out. I got a letter from Missy. She sent pictures. I wrote a letter to Missy & one to Mary. I watched T.V. Went for a walk with Pat & then to Simmons & finally my house. Oh I hope I make the honor roll. I tried. I probably wont. Oh Well! Did math.
BYE!!!
Note: I definitely was very fickle as last week I thought I had a crush on Julio Alegria.
Exciting to get a letter from Missy and an added bonus getting pictures.

Watched T.V. Muchacha Italiana is good!!!
BYE!
Note: Exciting that I made the honor roll.
Life is full of surprises. When I first moved to Tennessee over 30 years ago, I got involved with the program, H.A.B.I.T. (Human-Animal Bond in Tennessee). My dog, Lady, and I visited several nursing homes a week and I was invited to a banquet. There were maybe 100 people attending and when they gave out awards they called out Irene Vogel. I sat far in the back and couldn’t see her, but I thought, ‘I know an Irene Vogel from Nicaragua - could it be her?’ Afterwards, I sought her out and it was my friend from Managua. It’s a small world! Serendipity! I am grateful to continue the friendship.
This week has been special as I got to have lunch with Missy on Saturday and coffee with Irene today. Life is good!

I'm wondering what year that picture of me was taken . Irene
What fun to reunite with old friends!
Bill Flores was a very soulful looking teenager; I expect he was the focal point of many crushes. Now…….I am waiting to see who next week’s crush is!
Ha ha, Susan! You were right about being fickle!
So glad you got to see old friends!

I remember that telenovela! My mom, being Italian, got hooked on it...and so did I! Had a crush on that actress!
